January 2011: Visit and presentation on speech technology in VOICES at Université Gaston Bergé in Saint-Louis, Senegal, Etienne Barnard (NWU).
20 June 2013 Final Conference of the VOICES project was held in Hotel Savanna, Dakar, Senegal. Representatives from the health sector as well as ICT-entrepreneurs from Dakar were present during this event. The results of the m-health pilot in Senegal were presented as examples of voice-based services that can benefit health workers and other stakeholders. The Open Source voice-platform Emerginov was presented as the central tool for development of voice-services for global development.

Le 19 Decembre 2011 le film, nommé Radio Marché, sur le projet pilote m-Agro, déployé au Mali, pour WP 5, a été présenté, dans use réunion du Semantic Web dans le Intertain Lab du département de Informatique de l'Université Libre Amsterdam.
On 19th December 2011 the latest documentary named Radio Marché, about the approach of the m-Agro pilot in Mali, for Work Package 5, was shown in a pre-release, at the Semantic Web Meeting at the Intertain Lab in Amsterdam.
The aim of this WP is to setup of mobile training local in Senegal to disseminate expertise on mobile technologies that are relevant to the developing countries context, and that will enable local entrepreneurs to launch new services to provide locally relevant content and applications to the country and give them a stream of revenues.
