VU University Amsterdam organized a Multi Cultural event on June 6th 2012. The VOICES project was presented during this seminar.
In the morning Hans Akkermans chaired the first part of the International workshop on Cultural Diversity. Guest speaker was Etienne Barnard, from the Multilingual Speech Technology Research Group, North-West University, South-Africa, presenting: "Speaking Different Languages: Can Speech Technology Make the World a Better Place?"
